Testicular cancer incidence rising in young Hispanic men

The incidence rate of primary, malignant testicular germ cell tumours in adolescent and young adult Hispanic males is increasing in the USA. An analysis of two datasets (SEER13 and SEER18) from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program has shown a 58% increase in the annual incidence in this group (aged 15–39 at diagnosis) from 7.18 per 100,000 in 1992 to 11.34 per 100,000 in 2010. In non-Hispanic white males, a 7% increase in incidence was observed, from 12.41 to 13.22 per 100,000. The cause of the increase in Hispanic men is not known.
