July sees the launch of two special neuroscience-related supplements by the Nature Publishing Group — a supplement on neurodegeneration and Milestones in Development. The neurodegeneration supplement is published jointly by Nature Reviews Neuroscience and Nature Medicine, with sponsorship from AstraZeneca. It contains a series of specially commissioned Reviews and Perspectives that explore the molecular and cellular mechanisms that underlie neurodegenerative processes. The supplement will be distributed with all print copies of Nature Medicine and Nature Reviews Neuroscience, and the content is available free online for 3 months at http://www.nature.com/focus/neurodegen.

Milestones in Development is a collaboration between five Nature Publishing Group titles: Nature, Nature Cell Biology, Nature Reviews Neuroscience, Nature Reviews Genetics and Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology. It brings together a collection of articles, written by editors across the Nature Publishing Group, that highlight the most important advances in developmental biology research over the past 100 years. The Milestones cover numerous topics that will be of interest to neuroscientists, including neural induction, axon guidance and patterning of the neural tube. The print edition is available in limited numbers, and a copy can be requested through the supplement web site (www.nature.com/milestones/development). In a new innovation, the supplement is also available as a digital edition (please see the supplement web site for download information). The Milestones are available free online for 6 months, along with a selection of articles from the accompanying online library. Milestones in Development is sponsored by the March of Dimes, the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
