Similar to the preparation of 3a (Y) described above, UV irradiation of 2a-Ho·C6H14 (91 mg, 0.050 mmol) afforded 3a-Ho·C7H8 as red crystals (53 mg, 0.030 mmol, 60%). Anal. calcd for C58H110MoSi4Ho4·C7H8: C, 44.17; H, 6.73. Found: C, 44.35; H, 6.63.
