The recent News Feature on immune tolerance (Nature 418, 364–366; 2002) stated that researchers at Dartmouth Medical School had halted a clinical trial of a monoclonal antibody to treat multiple sclerosis when one patient developed blood clots. In fact, the patient who developed clots was enrolled in another trial, which was investigating whether the same antibody could ease symptoms of Crohn's disease.
