Particle physics after a year of LEP

Abstract

The Z° boson has changed in the last year from being an exotic rarity to being the tool for a wide range of research. CERN's large electron-positron collider, LEP, produces enough Z° particles to allow many predictions of particle physics theory and cosmology to be tested.
