Prospects for the use of amorphous semiconductors in solar energy conversion

Abstract

There is increasing interest in amorphous silicon as a low cost material for photovoltaic solar cells. Its possible uses extend to other methods of solar energy collection such as photothermal and photogalvanic conversion.
