Selection effects in redshift distribution of QSOs

  • A Corrigendum to this article was published on 01 June 1978

Two selection effects have been applied1,2 to the distribution of emission line redshifts of QSOs. However, since this hypothesis was proposed, emission-line redshift values have almost trebled. I report here a new analysis of 639 redshifts to discover whether they exhibit these selection effects for various values of peak width.
