Measured offset between the Crab pulsar and Tau X-1

Abstract

WE have used the MSSL X-ray detector on board the Copernicus spacecraft to measure the effective diameter of the Crab Nebula and to measure the location of the centroid of the emission with respect to the accurately known pulsar position1.
