Abstract
SEVERAL procedures for enrichment of fungal mutants are known and have been reviewed1,2 but they have many limitations. Here we describe a new technique based on selective cell-wall lysis, which has wide applicability and is highly efficient for isolating mutants differing from the wild-type strain in growth requirements.
