Significance of the even-carbon n-paraffin preference of a Spanish crude oil

Abstract

IT has been suggested that processes other than the accumulation of biogenic hydrocarbons play an important role in the organic formation of petroleum. That can be inferred from a comparison of the different types of organic compounds found in sediments and petroleum1,2.
