Variation in Trace Metal Concentrations along Single Hairs as Measured by Proton-induced X-ray Emission Photometry

Abstract

TRACE elements in human and animal hair have been studied using spectrophotometric, atomic absorption, emission spectrographic, neutron activation, and spark source mass spectrometric methods. We report here measurements of trace elements in human hair using the technique of proton induced X-ray production.
