Biochemical Evidence for the Bidirectional Replication of DNA in Escherichia coli

Abstract

After the initiation of synchronous replication of E. coli DNA by a short pulse of BU, BU is found in the middle of the newly synthesized segment confirming bidirectional replication from the origin.
