Distribution Pattern of the Duplication of Discoveries

Abstract

PRICE1 conjectured that a Poisson distribution might be a good fit for the pattern of incidence of multiple discoveries. We have fitted a modified Poisson distribution to the frequency of duplication of discovery of antibiotics.
