Sequential Synthesis of Messenger RNA and Antibodies in Rabbit Lymph Nodes

Abstract

The synthesis of two rapidly labelled RNA species found on the polysomes of stimulated rabbit lymph nodes has been studied as a function of time. As would be expected for messenger RNA, the synthesis coincides with the rise and fall of polysomes, and precedes the accumulation of antibodies.
