Stereochemical and Kinetic Significance of Ion Association in Fast Radiochloride Exchange Reactions at Silicon

Abstract

WE have examined the chloride exchange reaction of triphenylchlorosilane with [36Cl]-labelled tetrabutyl-ammonium chloride in benzene at 30° C. The reaction is very rapid (half-life about 0.05 s) and requires the use of flow techniques1.
