Abstract
(RS)-ABSCISIC acid1 affects several physiological and biochemical processes including abscission2,3, senescence3,4, flowering3, dormancy3 and enzyme activity5. It now is shown that (RS)-abscisic acid induces stomatal closure and inhibits transpiration in excised leaves.
