Bacteriophage f2 RNA: Control of Translation and Gene Order

Abstract

The use of a novel protein fingerprinting technique has shown that, in a cell-free system, the three genes of bacteriophage f2 can be translated independently. A crude genetic map of f2 RNA was constructed by using specific fragments of f2 RNA as messenger.
