Stability and Radial Vibration Periods of the Hamada–Salpeter White Dwarf Models

Abstract

The rapidly pulsating radio sources may, after all, be vibrating white dwarfs. Calculations show that fundamental vibration periods for white dwarfs can be as low as 1.5 s.
