Haemoglobin J Sardegna: α50 (CD 8) Histidine → Aspartic Acid

Abstract

A HAEMOGLOBIN variant has been observed in several members of a family in Cagliari on the island of Sardinia, Italy, which on electrophoresis at pH 8.9 moved in the position of haemoglobin J.
