Abstract

BRUCELLOSIS is reported to have a worldwide distribution1. Until the early part of 1962 no known reports of brucellosis in Eastern Nigeria had been recorded. All animals known to be susceptible and recently imported through regular commercial and government channels were certified free of Brucella by blood test before being imported.
