Immunoelectrophoretic Examination of Avian Serum Esterases

Abstract

IT has been recognized for some time that immunochemical properties provide a useful criterion for differentiating enzymes. When immunoelectrophoretic analysis was used in investigations of esterases in sera of birds it showed that greater variations occurred in their properties than has been revealed by simple agar electrophoresis1–3.
