Abstract
OUR laboratory is investigating several proteins within the genus Drosophila. In conjunction with this work, we have developed techniques for detecting enzymatic activity following electrophoresis on polyacrylamide gel. Several other methods for demonstrating specific enzyme activity in Drosophila have been reported1–3; these were applied after starch-gel electrophoresis.
