Magnetic Resonance Investigation of the Raney Nickel Catalyst

PREVIOUSLY1,2, one of us reported that the Raney nickel catalyst lost its activity through thermal treatment and that this might reasonably be related to the elimination of the crystal distortion in this catalyst. The structural change in the Raney nickel catalyst by thermal treatment with the electron spin resonance technique has now been investigated.
