Abstract
L. Zilber and I. Kryukova1 have described a peculiar cystic-haemorrhagic disease caused by Rous sarcoma virus (RSV) in rats infected when newly born. G. Svet-Moldavsky and A. Skorikova2 have obtained analogous results later on confirmed by other investigators. The morphological investigation revealed that this disease is connected with disease of lympho-reticular tissue of lymph nodes, spleen, lungs and endothelium of small lymphatic vessels3. Cysts are formed due to the whole complex of proliferative and destructive processes which change mainly the reticular (reticulo-endothelial) cells and block the lymph-stream.
