Effect of Time of Year on the Roughage Intake of Housed Sheep

Abstract

THE nutritional requirements of animals are said to vary with the amount of activity performed and with the environmental temperature. It is also said that darkness reduces activity and the maintenance of an air temperature above critical level leads to better food utilization.
