Abstract
IN a recent article1, I demonstrated how palæomagnetic data for South America, Africa, Australia, Europe and North America can be used to reconstruct the positions of these continents in the Palæozoic. Although there are no palæomagnetic data for Palæozoic rocks of India or Antarctica we can investigate whether Mesozoic poles for these continents, listed in Tables 1 and 2, are consistent with du Toit's reconstruction. So far as North America, South America, Europe and Africa are concerned, this is similar to that deduced from the palæomagnetic evidence.
