Abstract
THE failure of oocytes to develop in decapitated female Rhodnius has been attributed to the failure of protein synthesis1, and Vanderberg2 has shown reduction of incorporation of radioactive leucine by several tissues after decapitation. Further experiments have been performed on the fat body and hæmolymph to investigate this.
