Abstract
THERE are variable results on the therapeutic effects of B-complex vitamins given during experimentally induced liver injury1–4. Such results could be due to differences in vitamin binding by the injured liver. Because of the availability of sensitive and specific microbiological techniques for assay of tissue vitamin-levels5, the work recorded here was undertaken. With these techniques, a more reliable assessment of the vitamin-binding capacity of the normal, necrotic and regenerating rat liver could be made.
