Abstract
IN our earlier work we showed that the reproductive organs of sexually immature animals irradiated with a dose of 600 r. are injured and the percentage of fertile males is very small. If before irradiation cysteamine is injected into animals of the same age irradiated with the same X-ray dose, we obtain a considerably larger number of fertile males1. In subsequent experiments we applied β-aminoethylisothiuronium Cl HCl before irradiation and also found that this substance can protect the testes of immature males irradiated with 600 r. and that a great number of the animals were fertile2.
