Abstract
WE have recently described the hormonal sensitivity of a transhydrogenase reaction in mitochondria (reaction I)1. Reaction I is stimulated by diethylstilbœstrol and œstradiol and thus differs from the transhydrogenase of Kaplan2. This may reflect a difference in the method of preparation which preserves its hormonal sensitivity3. In further studies of this reaction, the reverse direction (reaction II) has been examined. In this report, the inhibitory effect of dicumarol on reactions I and II will be described.
