Abstract
SEVERAL workers have reported recently on the relationship of blood group differences to rejection of homografts. Silber et al.1 state that they were unable to demonstrate any apparent relationship of rejection of graft to blood group compatibility in turkeys. On the other hand, Schierman and Nordskog2 report that the locus of the B blood group system in chickens was involved in histo-compatibility in this species. Production of anti-A hæmagglutinins by CBA mice after receiving skin homografts from A strain mice was observed by Micklem and Brown3. Griffiths and Crikelair4 found that, in man, the titres of anti-A and anti-B were increased following skin homo-transplantation from donors possessing the specific blood group substances.
