Abstract
IT has previously been shown that white blood cells are capable of absorbing ascorbic acid against a concentration gradient from plasma, or from plasma diluted in a solution containing saline, ethylene-diamine tetraacetic acid and dextran1. This investigation has been continued and extended to include an assessment of uptake by granulocytes, lymphocytes and platelets.
