Abstract

RECENTLY potentiation of the response of the catnictitating membrane to sympathetic nerve stimulation has been shown to occur with serotonin1 and substance P (ref. 2). Burn and Rand3 have found that circulating noradrenaline increases the responses of organs to sympathetic stimulation.
