The Critical Phenomena between Solids and Fluids

Abstract

IN the phase diagrams of simple pure substances, the unknown fundamental problem is only the upper limits of melting points. Is there any critical phenomena between solids and fluids? (Generally at their melting points solids change to gases without going through the liquid stage in the high-temperature and high-pressure range.)
