Arm Abnormality in Octopus

Abstract

WHILE working through the cephalopod collections of the University of Miami Marine Laboratory I found a specimen which possessed an abnormal third left arm. The arm was divided into two branches. An unusual feature was the presence of a well-developed web between the two divisions as found uniting the bases of normal arms in this species.
