Abstract
PREVIOUSLY we have found that the hæm synthesized by duck blood in the presence of NaH14CO3 was radioactive1 and that radioactive ketoacids, namely pyruvic and α-ketoglutaric acids were formed2. We suggested that Krebs' cycle was effective for the incorporation of carbon-14 into hæm via succinic acid. We have extended our experiments to prove this hypothesis.
