Action Potentials from Single Nodes of Ranvier in Potassium-rich Solutions

Abstract

RECENT experiments have shown, that abnormal action potentials can be produced in (sodium-free) potassium-rich solutions1. In order to get more information on the ions which cross the membrane during this type of activity, the relation between the potassium concentration and the height of the action potential was examined.
