Abstract
ALTHOUGH the genus Monoblepharis has been known since 1871 and its species have been collected in many parts of the world1, there has been no account of its isolation and growth in pure culture, so in 1957 pure culture studies were begun. The investigation is not yet complete, but one of the techniques developed is reported here in view of its possible interest to other mycologists.
