Abstract

IT has been stated that “the relativistic aberration formula, tanθ′ = sinθ(1 − v 2/c 2)1/2/(cosθ + v/c)…deviates from the equation…of the ether theory by quantities of second order only, a deviation which is negligible compared with the present accuracy of the measurements”1. The aberration is also referred to as a “displacement, Θ – Θ′”2.
