A Dominant Felting Lustre Mutant Fleece-type in the Australian Merino Sheep

Abstract

RECENTLY, our attention has been directed at occasional ‘aberrant’ fleece-types among Australian Merino sheep. This communication refers to a felting lustrous fleece-type of which some twenty-two examples have so far been located.
