Dwarf Drosophila produced by Ethylene Diamine Tetra-acetic Acid: a Relationship to Chelation of Zinc

Abstract

MANY chemical and physical treatments have been used for producing non-heritable changes in development. When such changes resemble known mutants, they are called phenocopies. A variety of phenocopies has been induced by metals or metal-inhibiting compounds1.
