Abstract
THE mode of action of low-molecular weight enzyme inhibitors has been intensively studied. This does not, however, apply to high-molecular weight enzyme inhibitors. So far as we are aware, no work has been published on synthetic high-molecular weight enzyme inhibitors, and the mode of action of natural high-molecular weight enzyme inhibitors, such as the pepsin inhibitor and the various trypsin inhibitors, is still not fully understood.
