Abstract
THIS fungus was found during a recent examination of a single section cut from a coal ball collected at the Moorside Colliery, near Halifax, Yorkshire. The section has been in the departmental teaching collection at Glasgow for many years; but it has rarely been examined as it does not contain interesting specimens of other plants.
