Abstract
IN view of the recent communication by Snoek and Fast1 on their observation of the metastable states in well-annealed nickel, it may be of interest to record a similar effect which was noted in the course of some investigations on nickel magnetostrictive oscillators. These experiments, made just over a year ago, were essentially of a dynamic type, in contrast to the static conditions used by Snoek and Fast.
