Abstract

THE chief aim of this oompetent work is to show that the ‘ego', or rather the ‘ego-invoived reaction', is an outcome of sociai forces impinging upon the individuai throughout his life. The authors are deepiy versed in the literature of experimentai psychology, sooioiogy and sociai anthropoiogy, and by skiifuliy weaving together relevant results of researoh in these fieids bring abundant evidence in support of their thesis.
