Abstract
A number of problems concerning the crystal texture of diamond remain unsolved, notably the anomalous streaks on X-ray photographs1. It seems probable that these must arise from some imperfection of the crystal structure, and it was with the object of testing whether these imperfections were arranged with cubic symmetry or not that the present tests were made.
