Abstract
F. M. CARPENTER has recently discussed numerous specimens of fossil insects obtained in 1935 from the Elmo limestone (Kansas), of Lower Permian age (Proc. Amer. Acad. Arts and Sci.,73, 29–70; 1939). More than 8,000 specimens from this formation are now in the collections of the Harvard Museum of Comparative Zoology.
