Abstract
THE chief qualifications demanded of those who undertake the organization of an inter-national scientific congress in these days would seem to be an unwarrantable optimism and a complete disregard for current political events. At no time during the last two years has it ever been certain that the International Genetical Congress would meet, and now it is indeed surprising that it ever met.
