Abstract
THE annual meeting of the Society of Chemical Industry, held at Exeter on July 10–15 under the presidency of Dr. V. G. Bartrow, the eminent Canadian industrial chemist, was noteworthy for a symposium on “Tho Trend of Progress” to which important papers on various subjects in the field of chemical technology were contributed (J. Soc. Chem. Ind., 58, 587, 613, 635; 1939).
