Abstract
COMET PONS-WINNECKE (1939 c) is rapidly approaching the earth and will soon be visible in a small telescope. An ephemeris is given below from which it will be seen that the nearest approach to the earth will be about July 3, when it will be a little more than 10 million miles away. Towards the end of June it will be close to the moon and will probably be difficult to see as the moon will then be near the full.
